Job Description

SSR is seeking a forward-thinking and experienced Manager, Project Services based out of its corporate office in Denver, Colorado. The Manager, Project Services will lead high value mining studies across the portfolio and will support strategic development and investment in our brownfield exploration, operations and greenfield projects.

The Manager, Project Services, leads the delivery of project services for all SSR Mining projects, ensuring alignment with company standards and best practices. This includes managing cost control, planning, scheduling, document management, and reporting activities. The role is accountable for establishing and tracking project budgets, schedules, and progress updates.

The Day To Day

• Manage various stakeholders across the business and provide alignment between strategy and study execution through implementing and supporting a project controls set of systems, processes and procedures.
• Support, mentor and guide project team members in project controls operations and functional disciplines.
• Assisting Project Management in the CAPEX estimate integration in theor projects. Provide inputs to the financial model (e.g budgets, forecasts, cash flow according to the project schedule)
• Implement best practice project management systems, processes, and tools across the business.
• Support Project Managers on small projects and Project Services teams on larger projects to implement a consistent and accurate project controls capability on each project
• Provide high level expertise, knowledge and skills to project management and review processes.
• The role will be based in Denver, but a reasonable amount of travel is expected into various locations.
  
  

Is This You?

• A degree in Business, Engineering, or similar area of study or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
• A detailed understanding of project lifecycle and study delivery
• At least 10 years’ experience which includes the successful execution of mining studies and a reasonable amount of time working in operating mines and/or construction/development projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience in developing budgets, resourcing and methodology
• Experience collaborating with and leading international and cross-functional teams is essential.
• Other desired attitudes and behaviors: passion for safety and risk management; project management experience; and enthusiasm for the development and promotion of team members.
• Travel, including international, will be required.
  
  

For applicants residing in CO, the salary range for this role is from $165,000 to $190,000.
