Reporting to the Process Superintendent, the Process Maintenance Planner is a salary exempt role that typically works a 4-3 schedule. This role is intended to focus on Maintenance Planning, Scheduling, and Budgeting for their assigned role in the department. This role is also accountable for ensuring that all equipment performance targets and work management KPIs are achieved within the constraints of the maintenance budget.

Job Description
General Objectives:
Reporting to the Process Superintendent, the Process Maintenance Planner is a salary exempt role that typically works a 4-3 schedule. This role is intended to focus on Maintenance Planning, Scheduling, and Budgeting for their assigned role in the department. This role is also accountable for ensuring that all equipment performance targets and work management KPIs are achieved within the constraints of the maintenance budget.
Key Areas Of Responsibilities & Duties
The key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Participate and support site Operational Excellence Projects.
- Provide accurate monthly accruals to accounting group for assigned equipment
- Manage budget for assigned equipment in Marigold budgeting tool
- Provide Monthly Budget & Forecast variance explanations
- Development and update of Maintenance Strategies and Budgets for process assets
- Liaise with Supply Chain/Warehouse to expedite external parts, assist with vendor quotes, source materials, and contractor labor suppliers, where necessary.
- Contractor Representative responsibilities defined in Marigold Contractor Management Policy for assigned contractors.
- Schedule and facilitate process down meetings with co-workers and contractors
- Scheduling of all routine maintenance activities (work orders) in consultation with Operations and Maintenance, including short-term changes to the maintenance schedules based upon Production, Maintenance and Supply requirements.
- Ensure quality work packets are provided to the Maintenance Supervisors for all routine maintenance activities to ensure quality and efficient work execution. Seek detailed work completion information from the Maintenance Supervisors and resolve any issues, as necessary.
- Spend time in the field engaging with the workforce, ~20% of working time.
- Support implementation and use of predictive technologies in the process maintenance group (Vibration, Oil analysis, Thermography, etc.)
- Performs duties and activities in a manner that conforms to all safety practices and other policies, procedures and standards that are established by the company or required by law
- Liaise with other departments when necessary, such as Lab/Metallurgy, Process Operations, Safety and Health, Environmental and Accounting.
- Support and grow a culture of continuous improvement within the maintenance planning department
- Performs additional duties as required
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Projects, Outlook, Power Point, etc.)
- Familiarity with Power BI Reports, or like system
- Ability to safely lift, up to 50 pounds
- Advanced computer skills
- A good work ethic with the ability to work well with company and vendor personnel
- Good communication skills. Phone, Email, Writing, etc.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining a safe work culture
- Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time (desk work)
- 5 years practical process maintenance experience with mining equipment including component and parts recognition
- Experience with process maintenance planning, preferred
- Experience with maintenance CMMS such as SAP, Oracle, JDE, Pronto, eMaint, etc., SAP preferred.
- Experience with Condition monitoring practices such as oil analysis, vibration analysis, ultrasonic testing, thermography, etc., preferred.
