Summary/Objective
PIPS Associates are responsible for all aspects of receiving, picking, using the laser marking system, packing, and shipping the product to the customer.
Essential Functions
- Count and receive all incoming parts.
- Ability to hand count and use scale accurately.
- Enter finished good information into the Q20 master, PickPro and profit key for inventory purposes.
- Pick from the carousel or warehouse shelves for customer orders/shop orders.
- Interpret shipping documents including picklists, shop orders and production drawings.
- Laser valves using the laser marking system. (Laser 2.0)
- Prepare/Stage valves for assembly.
- Package and box instrumentation fittings, industrial parts, and valves.
- Bill out customer picklists.
- Use UPS and FedEx to ship packages.
- May perform assembly and other necessary tasks in the warehouse as needed.
- Perform 5S of work area, ensuring a clean and organized work area.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement methods and tools to make work process improvements.
- Observe and apply department and company Safety policies and procedures.
- Additional tasks assigned by supervisor/manager.
- Computer data entry skills.
- Working knowledge of final Inspection methods and tools.
- Ability to read and understand Pick List and other customer order information.
- Written and verbal communications skills.
- Basic math
- Knowledge of Quality ISO procedures and Lean Standard Work.
- Warehouse/shipping work environment.
- Ability to lift boxes/totes 1 - 50 pounds.
- Some exposure to cold with overhead shipping door(s) open for short periods.
- Frequent movements between work areas.
- Ability to bend, stoop and twist.
- Many hours standing/walking involved (35 )
- Ability to operate a scale.
- Use of pallet jack and tow motor.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Entry Level
- One year of warehouse experience, preferred.
