Job Duties:
SSP Industries is seeking a bilingual Spanish-speaking Payroll / HR Generalist with a strong focus on weekly payroll processing in a fast-paced construction environment. This role is critical to ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time each week, while also supporting key HR functions. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Payroll Primary Responsibility • Process weekly payroll from time collection through final submission • Enter and maintain payroll data including hours worked, pay rates, deductions, and employee changes • Ensure payroll is completed accurately and submitted within strict weekly deadlines • Review and validate time data for accuracy and completeness • Process payroll corrections, final checks, and adjustments as needed Certified Payroll / Compliance • Prepare and submit certified payroll reports • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local wage requirements • Assist with audits and reporting requirements HR Support Functions • Maintain employee records and payroll-related documentation • Administer benefits and payroll deductions • Conduct new hire orientation for Spanish-speaking employees • Support workers’ compensation and unemployment processes • Respond to employee payroll and HR-related inquiries - Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Minimum Requirements • Bilingual Spanish/English – required • 2–3 years of payroll experience • Experience processing payroll under deadlines • Experience with Microsoft Office Excel ________________________________________ Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree preferred • Construction industry experience • Experience with certified payroll ________________________________________ What You Need to Succeed • High level of accountability and ownership • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines • Clear and professional communication
