Summary/Objective
Accountable for completing and leading continuous improvement projects for the warehouse. This role also supports technical and administrative processes in the warehouse to ensure the timely flow of information and materials resulting in customer on time deliveries.
Essential Functions
Order Processing & Documentation
- Print, import and release daily customer orders.
- Complete and maintain the Daily Shipping White Board
- Prepare Heat Code and CMTR documentation packets.
- Run daily reports to confirm all orders are processed and shipped on schedule.
- Provide lead time requests to sales.
- Pull and organize all paperwork associated with RMAs.
- Scan Travelers/Shop Orders to SSP network
Inventory Management & Accuracy
- Order and manage all caps inventory for 2nd ops and capping.
- Manage and maintain Kanban systems, including ordering, auditing, and monitoring to prevent stockouts.
- Zap IT Kanban ordering and monitoring.
- Support and improve cycle counting processes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Scheduling & Reporting
- Monitor and update the hour-by-hour board.
- Update the abnormally large board weekly.
- Ensure daily importing has been completed.
- Input and track warehouse internal errors.
Continuous Improvement & Support
- Periodic audits and reporting for accuracy and efficiency
- Cycle counting and Kanban Process improvement.
- Support administration of warehouse programs and replenishment systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Competencies
- Basic PC skills including Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse/shipping processes.
- Critical thinking skills (ability to maintain moral, ethical company and social norms of behavior).
- Ability to read and understand documents such as Pick Lists, Operating Manuals, etc.
- Communication skills, both verbal and written as well as effective listening skills.
- Basic math (add, subtract, multiplication, etc.)
Work Environment
- Warehouse/shipping work environment. In person Monday to Friday, with ability to work overtime.
- Well-lit, clean, temperature-controlled environment.
- Lifting and/or moving objects weighing up to 50 or more pounds.
- Some exposure to cold with overhead shipping doors open for short periods.
- Extended periods of time standing and walking involved.
- Reaching and bending to retrieve materials.
Entry Level Qualifications & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of warehouse experience
- Experience with warehouse management systems and hand-held devices (Preferred)
