Together, we’ll shape the future of our industry—one TRUE step at a time!If you’re ready to start a career while being part of something meaningful and make an impact -- SSP is the place for you.**Summary/Objective**Assemble finished product for shipment to customers. **Essential Functions**·Assemble finished product that includes either valves and/or fittings.·Cap finished parts as needed·Use hand tools for various assemblies, and appropriate measuring devices.·Interpret shipping documents such as pick lists.·Perform 5S in work area, ensuring a clean and organized work area.·Enter customer order information into the Company’s computer system for recording labor time.·May perform other necessary tasks in the warehouse/shipping as needed.·Apply Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement methods and tools to make work process improvements·Observe and apply department and company Safety policies and procedures.·Additional tasks assigned by supervisor/manager.**Competencies**·Computer data entry skills.·Knowledge of SSP’s warehouse/shipping processes.·Knowledge of Company products.·Skill at eye-hand coordination for assembly operations·Ability to read and understand Pick List and other customer order information·Basic math (add, subtract, multiple, etc.)·Knowledge of Quality ISO procedures and Lean Standard Work**Work Environment**·Warehouse/shipping work environment.·May require extended work hours·Lifting and picking up boxes/totes (5 to 35 lbs.)·Some exposure to cold with overhead shipping door(s) open for short periods.·Extended periods of sitting at an assembly bench.Many hours standing/walking involved (10 )**Entry Level Qualifications**·High School Diploma or GED**Entry Level Experience**·Entry Level Position·Up to one year of light assembly experience preferred.Why Work at SSP?We understand that your success starts with a workplace that prioritizes your well-being and fosters your growth.
