SSOE is seeking a Structural Engineering Co-op for Fall 2026. This is an onsite position, and we are open to candidates located in either our Brentwood, TN or Birmingham, AL office. The role requires daily in-person attendance at one of these locations, and remote or hybrid work is not available .

Responsibilities
The following duties are typical of the position, but are not all encompassing. Each person is expected to help out in whatever duties are required to deliver a quality product on schedule and within budget in a team environment.
- Performs assigned tasks under close supervision of Department Manager or designee. Receives specific and detailed instruction.
- Basic computer, Revit or AutoCAD skills a plus.
- Learns and uses department standards, methods, and procedures respective to field of study.
- Meets various deadlines on daily duties or special projects as assigned by DM or designee.
- Occasional local travel may required for client visits.
- Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments.
- Students must be enrolled in an ABET-accredited engineering program, majoring in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering, with a focus on Structural Engineering or completed coursework in that area.
- Rising Junior or Senior academic year preferred.
- Must be registered with the Office of Professional Experience Program or equivalent Co-op office.
- Demonstrated organizational skills.
- Salary range: $20-$23 per hour depending on year in school.
