Job Highlights:
We are looking for a Medical Aesthetician with at least 3 years of experience. We are also wanting this Aesthetician to be able to provide patient skin care education as well.
Job Summary:
Evaluates skincare needs, performing cosmetic and medically indicated procedures to improve skin health and appearance, and educates patients on skin care and preventive measures relating to skin care and health, and suggests skin care products.Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assesses skin health care needs and determines need for treatment or intervention options as needed. Communicates skin health to prospective clients in a personalized, warm nature in person and on the phone with the ultimate goal of converting client interaction into a scheduled consult.
- Applies expert ability to utilize skin care equipment, tools, and professional products under the medical supervision of a physician or advanced practitioner and within the scope of training and credentialing.
- Performs chemical exfoliation, microdermabrasion and laser services under the medical supervision of a physician or advanced practitioner.
- Performs paramedical tattooing on patients with health issues such as breast reconstruction.
- Creates and implements opportunities to promote services both to internal and external clients in collaboration with the program specialist and marketing department.
- Integrates provider services by evaluating and offering treatment options to improve the health and clinical outcome of their patient’s care.
- Serves as the laser safety officer, to include coordination of laser preventive maintenance, safety requirements and quality assurance.
- Maintains inventory of skin care products which are appropriate to the needs of the practice. Verifies accuracy of invoices of products received using inventory management standards and department budget goals.
- Supports and achieves sales goals in both product and service areas. Collaborates with providers and program specialist in the development of promotional ideas and activities to increase revenue and maintain good public relations.
- Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
- High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience.
EXPERIENCE
- Three years' dermatology, plastic/cosmetic surgery or related experience
REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
Resuscitation Certification Requirement: Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) required within 90 day of employment. Other resuscitation certifications may be required dependent on department.v
