At SSI Technologies, Inc., we’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Product Engineering Technician to support our Product Engineering team in the development of cutting-edge electronic and electromechanical products.
What You’ll Do
As a Product Engineering Technician, you’ll play a key role in turning ideas into reality by supporting product development, testing, troubleshooting, and analysis efforts. Responsibilities include:
- Reading engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
- Building, assembling, and testing prototypes
- Performing dimensional, mechanical, electrical, environmental, and performance testing
- Troubleshooting and debugging electronic and electromechanical systems
- Collecting, analyzing, and reporting technical data
- Conducting teardown and failure analysis on returned parts
- Creating graphs, reports, work instructions, and process documentation
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and quality standards
- Collaborating cross-functionally with engineers, vendors, customers, and team members
What We’re Looking For
✔ Associate Degree in Electronics OR 2 years of relevant technical experience
✔ Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
✔ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
✔ Excellent communication and teamwork skills
✔ Detail-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset
Preferred Qualifications
⭐ Technical electronic engineering experience
⭐ Automotive industry experience
⭐ LabView or Orcad experience
⭐ EMC/ESD and environmental testing experience
⭐ Experience working with SMT components, repair, and analysis
