Working Foreman for General Contractor

Overview
This is a hands-on field position that combines skilled carpentry work with on-site project oversight for both large and small construction projects. The role requires strong technical ability, daily travel between jobsites, and consistent coordination with the Project Manager (PM) and other team members to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency.

PRIMARY DUTIES

· This is a bags on position. Must be able to perform carpentry duties along with on the job oversight on both large and small projects

· Oversee Jobsite Mobilization & Demobilization

· Travel to multiple jobsites on a daily/weekly basis

· Ensure Site Security Measures are Installed & Maintained (Including Site Signage)

· Perform Quality Control Review to Ensure Work is Installed per Specification

· Complete Daily Site Reports Daily!

· Complete Job Hazard Analysis for Each New Scope of Work (or Ensure JHA is in Place)

· Notify PM of Changed Field Conditions

· Document & Communicate Project Conflicts to Project Manager

· Update Field Drawing Set to Document Installed Conditions

· Ensure Project Safety Measures are Observed & Escalate to Superintendent as Necessary

· Apply the “Good Neighbor” Rule when necessary

SECONDARY DUTIES

· Assist in Project Submittal Review & Flag Discrepancies

· Support PM in Coordinating Subcontractors & Vendors

· Assist PM in Subcontractor & Vendor Close Out, Including Punchlist & Warranty Documentation

· Attend & Support Project Meetings

· Provide Support in Coordinating with AHJ’s

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs

· Ability to drive and operate a vehicle

· Climb ladders/scaffolding

· Stand on sloped roofs

· Walk and stand for an extended period of time

· Operate equipment as needed (certifications required when necessary)

TOOL REQUIREMENTS

· Standard tool bags/belt

· Hammer, Prybar, Cats Paw, Utility knife ETC.

· Tape measure

· Utility chisel

· Battery operated tools: Drill, Impact, Sawzall, Skill saw, Multi Tool ETC

· Small hand tools including Wrenches, crescent wrenches, tin snips ETC

· String Line

· Levels: 2’ and 4’- 6’ optional

· Multi tip screwdriver

· Drill Bit set

· Safety glasses

· Gloves

· Ear Protection

· Approved Foot ware

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $29.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
