Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Packager to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing products for shipment by packaging them according to company standards and regulatory requirements. This role is essential in ensuring product quality, safety, and compliance with industry regulations such as FDA guidelines and CGMP standards. The Packager will work in a fast-paced environment, supporting efficient production processes and maintaining high-quality output.
Duties
- Operate packaging machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures and safety protocols
- Assemble, label, and package products following specified guidelines to ensure consistency and quality
- Inspect finished packages for defects or inconsistencies, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations and CGMP standards
- Utilize hand tools and mechanical knowledge to perform minor repairs or adjustments on packaging equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packaging area to meet warehouse and manufacturing standards
- Assist with inventory management by accurately recording packaged units and materials used
- Support assembly tasks as needed, including component preparation and product handling
- Operate forklifts when required to move materials or finished goods within the warehouse environment
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE, to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
- Prior experience in packaging, manufacturing, or warehouse environments is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge and experience with hand tools are advantageous
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus for understanding automated equipment operations
- Knowledge of FDA regulations, CGMP practices, and industry standards for pharmaceutical or food packaging is desirable
- Ability to operate forklifts safely (certification preferred)
- Strong attention to detail to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance
- Good organizational skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Basic understanding of assembly processes and mechanical systems
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks effectively
