We are growing and our Engineering Department is currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer.
What will you do?
- Design and develop tools for the extraction of broken or worn out orthopedic implants;
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings of instruments, implants and prototypes of medical and orthopedic devices using SolidWorks, Geomagic, and Finite Element Structural Analysis;
- Review, prepare and conduct test protocols and procedures following FDA protocols and GLP/GMP guideline;
- Conduct failure analysis and remediation using Root cause Analysis;
- Provide innovative solutions to address emerging problems.
Must Have Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or in a related
field;
- Experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks;
- Experience using Microsoft Excel;
- Hands-on experience with measuring equipment;
- Hands-on experience with different types of machines;
- Understanding of full cycle product development;
- Understanding of manufacturing processes;
- Good knowledge of principles of statistics.
Nice to have Requirements:
- Understanding of medical and aerospace standards;
- Six Sigma certificate;
- 5S Certificate;
- Programming skills (C#, SQL, Python);
- CNC Programming skills;
- Basic knowledge of tooling.
