Job Description Associate, Middle Office Operations Location: New York City | Hybrid Get to Know the Team: The Middle Office Operations Associate at SS&C Financial Services, LLC will be responsible for sup porting the day-to-day operational activities within the middle office, ensuring accurate and timely processing of trades, managing cash and position reconciliations, and providing critical support to portfolio managers and other internal stakeholders. This role requires a strong understanding of financial instruments and operational workflows. What You Will Get to Do: Perform daily trade affirmation and confirmation processes across various asset classes (equities, fixed income, derivatives, etc.). Execute and reconcile cash and position breaks with custodians, prime brokers, and counterparties. Monitor and process corporate actions, ensuring accurate reflection in portfolio management systems. Investigate and resolve trade discrepancies, failed trades, and settlement issues in a timely manner. Generate and distribute various operational reports, including performance, risk, and compliance data. Contribute to the enhancement of existing processes and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy. Maintain a strong understanding of industry regulations and best practices relevant to middle office operations. Respond to internal and external inquiries related to trade processing, settlements, and portfolio data. What You Will Bring: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in middle office operations within the financial services industry. Strong understanding of various financial instruments and their life cycles. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables). Experience with financial software and systems (e.g., Advent Geneva, BlackRock Aladdin) is a plus. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Actual base salary will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, prior experience, education, demonstrated performance, and geographic location. New York: The expected base salary for the position is between 45000 USD to 75000 USD. In addition, employees in this role may be eligible for consideration on an annual basis for a discretionary bonus and/or equity awards, such as restricted stock units or stock options, based upon individual and business performance at the company’s discretion.
