You will lead a team of Network, Infrastructure, and DevOps Engineers responsible for designing and implementing sophisticated on‑premise systems deployed directly into customer environments. The role includes ownership of high‑ and low‑level architecture, requirements clarification, and the evolution of both customer‑facing systems and internal development, testing, and staging environments.

About The Role
You will lead a team of Network, Infrastructure, and DevOps Engineers responsible for designing and implementing sophisticated on‑premise systems deployed directly into customer environments. The role includes ownership of high‑ and low‑level architecture, requirements clarification, and the evolution of both customer‑facing systems and internal development, testing, and staging environments.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide leadership, direction, and performance management for the Network & Infrastructure team.
- Produce high‑quality, detailed high‑level system designs, considering field conditions, civil works, and existing technologies.
- Define and refine technical requirements in collaboration with Sales and Project Management.
- Develop the strategic roadmap for network and infrastructure evolution, ensuring system reliability and resilience for mission‑critical products.
- Oversee the strategy and operation of internal development and testing environments to ensure reliability, flexibility, and appropriate capacity.
- Ensure all internal environments remain fully functional and meet business needs.
- Extensive technical expertise with at least 15 years in IT and 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong experience designing and implementing secure, resilient distributed IP networks.
- Proven capability in building IT infrastructure solutions, including virtualisation and containerisation.
- Ability to lead technical teams and produce high‑quality documentation and architectural diagrams.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings and presentations.
The role requires a solid understanding of the following areas to provide effective technical leadership:
Network Engineering
- WAN, LAN, mobile networks
- Multi‑vendor operating systems
- Network design through to switch‑level configuration
- Server and compute architecture
- OS implementation and low‑level administration
- Storage engineering, including provisioning, clustering, and replication
- Multi‑vendor hypervisors and virtual networking
- Engineering virtualised operating systems
- Container architecture, orchestration, networking, and automated deployment
- Voice over IP
- Microsoft enterprise architecture (e.g., AD, policies)
- Video wall design
- VDI design, including thin‑client infrastructure
