SRSandco is a growing multi-location automotive group, and we've launched a new internal team — Drivetrain: Innovation & Operations — with one mission: use AI to streamline, simplify, and automate how our shops run. We've already shipped AI-powered tools into live operations: sales-call script generation from repair order data, operational dashboards that flag missing invoices and payroll issues across locations, performance reporting, and more. Now we're growing the team that builds what's next.
You'll work directly with our Chief Innovation & Operations Officer on a small, fast-moving team where what you build this month gets used by real shops next month.
What You'll Build- AI-powered internal tools using LLM APIs (Claude, OpenAI) — assistants, automations, and agents that solve real operational problems
- Integrations with our shop management platforms (Tekmetric, Shop Boss) to pull live repair order, sales, and employee data
- Dashboards and reporting tools that turn raw multi-location data into decisions
- Workflow automation that eliminates manual busywork for managers and service advisors
- Prompt systems and AI configurations that make our tools smarter over time
- Recent graduate (or current student, for the internship track) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI/ML, Data Science, or a related field — or equivalent self-taught skills with projects to show
- Working proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or AI app development (class projects, personal projects, and hackathons absolutely count)
- Comfort with APIs, data wrangling, and learning unfamiliar systems quickly
- A builder's mindset: you'd rather ship something useful this week than perfect something forever
- Curiosity about how a real business operates — you'll learn the automotive service industry from the inside
Bonus points (not required): SQL, dashboard/BI tools, React, experience automating workflows, or any exposure to small-business operations.
