Role Description The Assistant Interior Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Kansas City, MO. This position supports lead designers with project development, including creating design concepts, assisting with space plans, preparing presentations, and coordinating FF&E selections. Day-to-day tasks include drafting construction and design drawings, updating project documentation, communicating with vendors, and helping manage samples and material libraries. The Assistant Interior Designer will participate in client meetings, support site visits and measurements, and help ensure projects are executed on schedule and within budget. This role offers hands-on experience across residential and/or commercial projects in a collaborative studio environment.

Qualifications
- Strong skills in Interior Design and FF&E selection, including finishes, fixtures, and furnishings.
- Ability in Space Planning to develop functional, aesthetically pleasing layouts that meet client requirements.
- Foundational understanding of Architecture and building systems as they relate to interior design solutions.
- Proficiency in creating and reading Construction Drawings and other technical documentation.
- Relevant education in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; degree or certificate preferred.
- Experience with design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar), and standard office productivity tools.
- Strong visual communication, organization, and time-management skills, with attention to detail in all project work.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a studio setting, interact professionally with clients and vendors, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
