As a Senior Software Engineer at CVS Health, you will play a crucial role in building and delivering high-quality software that enhances customer experiences. You’ll be involved in all phases of software engineering, from requirements analysis to deployment, while adhering to agile software development methodologies. Responsibilities
- Ensure the long-term quality of architecture, design, and code of software systems
- Own critical components of the software stack
- Lead hands-on design and code reviews
- Help deploy and maintain large-scale software in production, ensuring operational excellence
- Provide technical leadership, guide the team in best practices, optimize development processes, and resolve technical challenges
- Help in the development of team members, mentor individuals, and support the manager
- Partner with product teams to align on business objectives
- Champion continuous improvement by identifying enhancement opportunities and optimizing workflows
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience designing and building software engineering solutions in cloud environments
- 5 years of experience in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, SQL, etc.
- 5 years of experience with APIs, microservices, and modern software patterns
- 2 years of experience as a technical team leader
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical and strategic concepts to stakeholders
- Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and conversational AI applications
- Experience developing and supporting voice and chatbots
- Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, or a related field
