Scalehouse Operators play a vital role in supporting day-to-day operations and administrative tasks associated with scale operations. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all industry safety rules, company procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Accurately produce computer-generated scale tickets for incoming and outgoing trucks.
- Provide customer support by assisting with purchase decisions, answering questions, and responding to phone inquiries.
- Coordinate with loaders, haulers, and dispatch to ensure accurate product weights and deliveries.
- Handle cash transactions, COD records, and daily reporting with precision.
- Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the scale house and equipment.
- Perform general office duties including data entry, filing, and recordkeeping.
- Deliver excellent customer service while managing aggregate dispatch and operations.
- Go-getter mentality with a strong sense of initiative.
- Prior customer service experience preferred.
- Background in the construction or aggregate industry a plus.
- Comfortable using computers; ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, division).
- Highly detail-oriented with accurate data entry skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-focused mindset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven problem-solving and organizational abilities.
- Ability to perform under pressure while managing multiple demands.
- Bilingual (preferred)
