- Safely operate a flatbed with a Class A license, transporting blocks from the plant to customers and various SRM Concrete locations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with all DOT regulations.
- Accurately complete and maintain logbooks, delivery documentation, and other required paperwork in line with company policies.
- Maintain clear communication with dispatch to receive delivery instructions and provide timely updates on route progress.
- Securely load and unload blocks, ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently to prevent spillage or damage.
- Adhere to established routes, schedules, and safety procedures for transporting materials.
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery sites, representing SRM Concrete with professionalism and respect.
- Operate a loader to load blocks onto trucks and assist with yard operations as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and current DOT Medical Card.
- Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience driving Class A trucks.
- Clean driving record with no serious violations or accidents in the last 5 years.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for material transportation.
- Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform tasks involving bending, lifting, and climbing.
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery schedules.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with plant personnel and customers.
- Willingness to undergo SRM’s pre-employment screenings.
- A proactive, dependable, and team-oriented attitude.
