Project Engineer

Project Engineer Alaska (hybrid), USA SRK Consulting is an independent, international consulting practice, providing globally integrated consulting services to the international mining and metals sector. We are seeking a Project Engineer. Description of Responsibilities: Provide engineering support in the following areas: Engineering design for mine waste and water engineering projects Preparation and review of construction cost estimates Preparation and review of reclamation cost estimates Assist with project management of technical deliverables, scheduling and budgets Assist with preparation of permitting applications Perform field work, such as geotechnical investigations, engineering oversight during construction and manage QA/QC activities on mine-related earthworks Work collaboratively with other technical specialists Develop and maintain client relationships Essential Requirements: An undergraduate degree in civil, geotechnical/geological or mining engineering A minimum of 5 years experience, preferably in the mining industry Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision Strong inter-personal and communication skills, including writing skills Working knowledge Word, and Excel Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D software, AutoCAD, GIS, slope stability and/or hydrologic analyses and software programs, is desirable SRK Consulting is an equal opportunity employer, including vets/disabilities  In return for considering a future with us, we offer: An attractive compensation package.
