Srisai Printing is seeking a detail-oriented Bulk Mail / Variable Data Processor to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing the entire mail production process, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. You will also be responsible for various print production tasks, including litigation copying and typesetting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Mail Processing
You will manage all stages of the mailing process to achieve a perfect mailing score with the USPS. This includes:
Managing Addresses: Cleaning, updating, and preparing mailing lists.
Composing Mail Merges: Creating mail merge documents for personalized communications.
Assembling Mail Pieces: Accurately putting together mailers, including letters, envelopes, and inserts.
Mail Sort and Submission: Sorting mail according to USPS regulations and preparing it for submission.
Mail Quality Control: Performing quality checks to ensure all mail pieces are accurate and meet standards.
Mail Hand Work: Assisting with manual mail assembly tasks as needed, a responsibility that will be shared with the team.
2. Litigation Copying
You will assist with litigation copying, focusing on quality control and accuracy. This includes:
Bate Numbering: Applying bate numbers to legal documents.
Litigation Copy Quality Control: Reviewing copies to ensure they are clear, complete, and correctly numbered.
Hand Work and Bindery: Assisting with manual tasks and binding as needed, a responsibility that will be shared with the team.
Litigation Copy Customer Service: Providing customer service for litigation copying requests, a task that will eventually be transitioned to new hires as part of general customer service duties.
3. Typesetting
You will be trained in typesetting to assist with various printing projects. This includes:
Plate Making: Creating printing plates for presses.
Proofing: Sending proofs to customers for review and approval.
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in print and mail production
High School Diploma or GED required.
Strong knowledge of print production processes, including file preparation, pre-press, color management, and finishing techniques.
In-depth understanding of USPS regulations, mail classes, and postal software.
Excellent project management, organizational, and time-management skills.
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
Proven problem-solving and decision-making in fast-paced environments.
