TechOps Engineer

Main points of the role as described by the hiring manager:
* This person must have Kafka.
* Looking for a Technical Operations Specialist who will be maintaining applications and systems
* Preference for DevOps experience, as they will be involved in a cloud migration project to AWS (AWS Cert is a bonus)
* Must be at least an 8 out of 10 in Linux
* Should be able to review and understand code for troubleshooting, but do not need to have hands-on development
* Must be able to script (preference for Python or Bash)
* Someone who can own a project (plan, lead, deliver) is preferred. Will consider mid-level candidates who can learn this piece.
* Will be on on-call duty once every 4 weeks. Can be anywhere in the US

Full Job Description:

The ideal candidate will possess:

* Around 10 years of experience, working knowledge of CI/CD tooling such as git, Jenkins, artifactory, etc.

* Working knowledge of monitoring systems and metric databases

* Experience working with AWS is a plus but not required

* Proven ability to automate as much as possible

* Experience in TechOps (incident management, problem management, change controls/management, release deployment, middleware)

The person who secures this role will work on:

* Incident Management - To restore normal service operations as quickly as possible

* Problem Management - To identify root cause of incidents and remove the root cause from the environment

* Change Management - Controls the changes into Test and Production environment

* Release and Deployment Management Control the release and deployment of changes into the Test and Production environment

* Provide deployment, maintenance and support services for Service Provider s Middleware Infrastructure Automation tools and scripting such as Python, ansible, bash, perl
