Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, patient-centric Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our outpatient clinical team in the Bronx. This part-time role focuses on delivering high-quality, primary care to pediatric patients ranging from newborns to age 18. The ideal candidate will manage a diverse patient panel, performing well-child exams, acute care visits, and developmental screenings.
Schedule & Flexibility
- Commitment: 2 days or 3 days per week.
- Days Needed: Flexible scheduling available
- Hours: Standard daytime outpatient hours (e.g., 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM). No overnight on-call hours.
- Conduct comprehensive well-child exams, physicals, and developmental assessments for newborns through adolescents.
- Diagnose and treat acute childhood illnesses (e.g., ear infections, strep throat, asthma flare-ups).
- Formulate, implement, and monitor evidence-based treatment plans and prescribe medications in accordance with New York state regulations.
- Administer and counsel families on standard pediatric immunization schedules.
- Provide robust patient and family education regarding nutrition, safety, and chronic disease management.
- Document all patient encounters accurately and efficiently within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Education: Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner (PNP or FNP) in the State of New York.
- Certification: Current board certification from an approved national certifying body (ANCC or AANP).
- Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of post-graduate clinical experience as an NP in a pediatric or family outpatient setting.
