We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Chief Medical Physicist to oversee physics and dosimetry operations across multiple Cancer Center locations in the Jackson, TN metro area. Key Responsibilities
· Provide administrative oversight of physics and dosimetry services across multiple facilities.
· Develop and implement standard operating procedures, policies, and QA programs for Radiation Oncology Physics and Dosimetry.
· Coordinate staffing, training, and orientation for physicists and dosimetrists; ensure appropriate and timely patient care.
· Lead cross-training initiatives to build redundancy and depth in complex treatment services (IORT, TBI, CyberKnife, etc.).
· Collaborate with IT and clinical teams to optimize Aria, Eclipse, and Epic platforms for Radiation Oncology operations.
· Evaluate and implement new radiation therapy technologies in collaboration with the medical and administrative leadership team.
· Develop treatment planning protocols to ensure evidence-based, outcome-optimized care.
· Participate in clinical research, peer review programs, and educational initiatives such as resident and student training.
· Support system-wide radiation safety programs and regulatory compliance efforts.
· Collaborate with affiliated institutions on research, education, and protocol standardization.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
· Master’s degree in Medical Physics or related field.
· ABR certification in Therapeutic Radiologic Physics.
· Minimum 5 years of experience in Radiation Oncology physics.
· Previous Chief Physicist or senior leadership experience in a hospital-based radiation oncology program.
· Proven expertise in radiation therapy quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
Preferred:
· Ph.D. in Medical Physics or related field.
· Experience in academic or multi-site oncology environments.
