Job Description for Trainee Process engineer (OPT) requirement
Responsibilities of Role:
Responsibilities of Process engineer is following - but not limited to:
• Work as an onsite Process Engineer in a Chemical / Consumer product goods manufacturing plant.
• Understand the scope of work from customer and coordinate with the offshore team to execute the process engineering deliverables.
• Walkthrough in the site to collect all the required inputs to complete the engineering design which may include preparing field markups, equipment & operation data collection etc.
• Coordinate with vendors and construction team to get the required information for completing the design.
• Attend design reviews and get the necessary approvals from customer.
• Support in construction and start up activities as needed.
Skills Required:
• Good knowledge on chemical engineering fundamentals like heat transfer, fluid mechanics, mass transfer.
• Ability to prepare PFD's and P&IDs.
• Ability to perform mass & energy balance calculation, process equipment sizing calculations, line sizing and pressure drop calculations.
• Conversant with MS office application is a must.
• Familiarity of any hydraulic calculation software, HTRI, AutoCAD will be added advantage.
Physical Requirement:
• Must be able to climb flights of stairs and remain standing for at least 2 hours
• Availability to thrive in dynamic team environment with diverse perspective
