Position Overview
Lead enterprise network and security operations, L3 troubleshooting, architecture reviews, and infrastructure assessments. Provide technical expertise across Cisco data center networking, Fortinet and Palo Alto firewalls, network optimization, and automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead network and firewall assessments across Fortinet and Palo Alto environments.
- Resolve complex L3 issues involving routing, switching, VPNs, QoS, NAT, ACLs, and performance.
- Support Cisco Nexus, NX-OS, VPC, VXLAN/EVPN, and high-availability architectures.
- Review firewall policies, SD-WAN, network security, and segmentation.
- Manage SolarWinds monitoring, network discovery, and troubleshooting.
- Lead network migrations, upgrades, major changes, and change management.
- Develop network standards, documentation, runbooks, and configuration templates.
- Mentor L1/L2 engineers and serve as the final technical escalation point.
Required Qualifications
- 10–12 years of networking experience, including 3–4 years in L3 or architect-level roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco IOS/XE, NX-OS, and Nexus platforms.
- Expertise in Fortinet FortiGate and Palo Alto firewalls.
- Strong knowledge of OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, SD-WAN, VPNs, and HA.
- Experience with SolarWinds or equivalent monitoring and discovery tools.
- Working knowledge of Python, Bash, or EEM automation.
- CCNA certification or equivalent hands-on experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- CCNP Enterprise certification.
- Fortinet NSE 4 or higher certification.
- Experience with Aruba Wireless, Extreme Networks, or Juniper.
- ITIL v4 Foundation certification.
