What are the responsibilities and job description for the Military Vehicle Technician OCONUS position at SRG4 Government Services?
We are looking for an experienced and leadership-driven Military Vehicle Technician to join our team in the United Arab Emirates supporting U.S. Department of Defense operations.
This is a 2-year contract position where you will serve as a Field Service Representative, performing hands-on maintenance while leading a team of 6–12 mechanics. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise 6–12 mechanics on daily maintenance, repairs, and sustainment of military wheeled vehicles (primary focus: Flyer 72, HMMWV, MRAPs)
- Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, electrical systems, powertrains, suspension, brakes, hydraulics, and armor components
- Conduct vehicle testing, recovery operations, quality inspections, and ensure 100% operational readiness
- Provide technical mentoring, training, and leadership to your team in a high-tempo environment
- Document all work using technical manuals, DoD standards, and digital systems
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 3–5 years hands-on experience maintaining military wheeled vehicles
- Minimum 1,000 documented hours specifically on the Flyer 72 vehicle
- Proven leadership experience supervising mechanics (leading 6 personnel strongly preferred)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship ability to obtain/maintain a valid U.S. Passport
- Willingness to deploy OCONUS for a full 2-year contract in the UAE
Preferred:
- Prior military experience as a 91B (Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic) or equivalent
- Previous OCONUS / deployed experience supporting DoD contracts
- Strong background with Humvee, MRAP, or other tactical vehicles
