The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing field activities, coordinating subcontractors and utilities, and ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with agency requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Site Coordination
- Organize, schedule, and oversee daily and weekly activities of subcontractors, vendors, and utility entities
- Coordinate work in active urban environments, including NYC utility companies and agency stakeholders
- Proactively identify and resolve field issues to maintain schedule and productivity
- Maintain accurate daily reports, field logs, and site documentation
- Track labor, timekeeping, and cost-related field activities
- Supervise self-performed work and implement efficient construction means and methods
- Support submittal reviews and track long-lead materials
- Oversee material deliveries and ensure proper inspection, documentation, and storage
- Verify receiving tickets are signed, coded, and properly filed
- Support jobsite reporting requirements including daily reports, RFIs, change orders, weekly unit reports, two-week look-ahead schedules, and monthly schedule updates
- Review shop drawings and submittals in coordination with project management teams
- Ensure compliance with contract documents, agency standards, and company procedures
- Attend and participate in required jobsite and agency meetings
- Maintain quality control and safety standards throughout all phases of construction
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
- 7 years of relevant field experience on urban infrastructure, streetscape, or public works projects
- Experience working on NYC DDC and/or EDC projects strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience with NYC utility coordination and work in active public rights-of-way
- Familiarity with NYC agency processes, filings, and construction requirements
Salary : $100,000 - $140,000
