Medical Assistant, Certified

Job Posting Title: Medical Assistant, Certified Location: Dallas - Hospital Additional Posting Details: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Job Description: Duties/Responsibilities Assist with patient check-in, exams, and documentation in electronic medical record Administer injections as instructed by nurse May participate in specimen collection Interview patients, measure vital signs, and review medications list Document care provided per established guidelines Provide patient education resources as instructed Prepare and disinfect exam room for each patient’s visit Ensure adequate supplies and appropriate instruments are available Inventory and order medical supplies Ensure equipment is cleaned and maintained per department protocol Schedule tests and procedures (including radiology) utilizing the hospital and clinic computer systems; review results Required Skills/Abilities High school diploma or equivalent required Medical Assistant certification required BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer preferred but not required At Scottish Rite for Children, we work together with the common goal of helping give children back their childhood.
