Salary Range: $57,000 – $67,000
Reports To: Senior Business Intelligence Analyst
Position Overview
The Reporting Analyst is responsible for the accurate execution and maintenance of reports, dashboards, and data cleanup initiatives that support decision-making across the organization. This role will work under the guidance of the Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, who leads the planning and design of BI strategy. The Reporting Analyst will translate those plans into reliable, day-to-day deliverables, ensuring data integrity and supporting business operations across multiple departments.
This is an early-career position well-suited for individuals who have foundational experience with reporting tools and a strong interest in building technical expertise in business intelligence. Key Responsibilities
Salesforce Reporting & Dashboards
- Execute builds and updates for Salesforce reports, including new report creation, filter adjustments, and performance tuning.
- Provide hands-on support to maintain accuracy and usability of reports and dashboards.
Development Collaboration & Process Updates
- Participate in the full lifecycle of CRM-related Jira tickets by executing updates, validations, and reporting adjustments under senior guidance.
- Conduct testing in collaboration with development and sales-operations teams, escalating issues as needed.
- Carry out rollout tasks such as updating reports, publishing changes, and distributing user instructions following new process deployments.
Data Cleanup & Governance Support
- Execute data-cleaning activities such as correcting records, merging duplicates, and identifying inconsistencies.
- Update and maintain data-quality dashboards, ensuring exception reports reflect current issues.
- Document recurring data quality challenges for review and resolution by the BI team.
Documentation & Training
- Maintain and update procedural runbooks for recurring reporting and dashboard tasks.
- Provide basic end-user training sessions on dashboard usage and data-entry standards, ensuring consistency across teams.
Ad-Hoc Support & Initial Analysis
- Respond to fast-turnaround requests for small data pulls or basic analyses, providing timely insights to internal stakeholders without requiring senior-level intervention.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, Information Systems, or related discipline (or equivalent work experience).
- 1–3 years of experience in a data-focused role.
- User-level familiarity with CRM reporting and dashboards (Salesforce preferred).
- Intermediate proficiency with Tableau or a comparable BI visualization tool.
- Strong Excel skills, including pivots, lookups, and conditional logic.
- Analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Exposure to Jira or other ticketing/work management systems.
- Familiarity with data-cleaning techniques and governance processes.
- Interest in developing technical expertise in SQL, R, or other statistical/analytical tools over time.
