Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles on local routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring cargo integrity and proper securing of loads.
• Deliver trailers, parts, containers, or other specialized equipment depending on the assignment.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before and after each shift.
• Manage route driving efficiently, optimizing delivery schedules to meet deadlines while maintaining safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries, pickups, and special instructions.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, freight movements, and delivery documentation in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Follow all safety protocols during loading/unloading operations and while on the road to ensure personal and team safety at all times.

Skills

• Proven experience in truck driving with a valid CDL Class A license.
• Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures including load securing and proper use of equipment like forklifts.
• Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, route management, and compliance with transportation regulations.
• Ability to perform detailed vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks confidently.
• Keep your vehicle clean, neat and ready to deliver to our customers Treat the trucks like you would your own
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers, customers, and team members.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing schedules or route adjustments while maintaining professionalism.
• Physical stamina for loading/unloading freight and performing inspections; ability to lift heavy loads when necessary.
