What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Associate position at SR1 Equipment?
SR1 Equipment is hiring for an Accounting Associate position on the accounting team. We pride ourselves on having a first-class team with a positive, uplifting, and very productive atmosphere. Accounting experience is required, with a focus in accounts payables, accounts receivables, and financial reporting.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to (training provided):
- Financial reporting.
- Establish and implement consistent procedures for fixed assets.
- Support management by reconciling accounts, preparing schedules, and providing necessary documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Strong expertise in month-end close processes and general ledger management.
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Demonstrated ability to perform detailed account and bank reconciliations.
- Reviewing all unit sale paperwork.
- Assisting sales staff with various transactions.
- Working with management on special projects.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Utilizing spreadsheets, AI, and other technology to streamline the reconciliation process.
Requirements:
- Must have a positive "team player" attitude and take pride in work.
- Previous accounting experience required (5 years or more of demonstrated work experience in the field of accounting).
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration (strongly preferred).
- Highly proficient with Excel and can easily navigate through worksheets and utilize advanced formulas to streamline the reconciliation process.
- Ability to create and manage financial reports with Excel to help streamline the review process, and utilize Excel functions/formulas to filter, sort, and compare data.
- Strong personal motivational skills, the ability to work independently or as a team when required.
- Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills.
- Dealership experience is preferred.
- Willingness to adapt to changes and interested in advancing accounting skills.
- Advanced computer & web application skills (highly proficient with Google Sheets or Excel is required).
Schedule:
- M-F: 8-5
