Job Summary
We are seeking skilled, dependable, and safety-minded craftsmen with experience in pile driving, marine construction, heavy civil construction, and crane-supported operations. Candidates should have hands-on experience working with pile driving equipment, rigging, cranes, and heavy construction operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform pile driving operations involving steel pipe pile, sheet pile, concrete pile, and timber pile
- Assist with pitching, positioning, plumbing, and driving piles
- Rig piles, hammers, leads, and other equipment for crane operations
- Properly inspect and use slings, shackles, chokers, taglines, and other rigging equipment
- Provide and understand standard crane hand signals
- Assist with setup and operation of vibratory and impact pile driving hammers
- Work from land, barges, work platforms, and other marine construction environments
- Assist with barge moves, equipment setup, and material handling
- Perform cutting, welding, fitting, and other construction tasks when qualified
- Inspect tools, rigging, and equipment before use
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Participate in daily JSA/JHA meetings and toolbox talks
- Follow OSHA requirements and company safety policies
- Work closely with the Pile Driving Foreman, crane operator, and other crew members
Experience
- Previous pile driving experience strongly preferred
- Heavy civil, marine, industrial, or structural construction experience is a plus
- Knowledge of crane rigging and signaling
- Familiarity with pile driving hammers, leads, rigging, and associated equipment
- Ability to safely work around cranes, suspended loads, and heavy equipment
- Ability to work at heights and over or near water
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments
- Must be dependable and able to work effectively as part of a crew
- Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and extended shifts when required
- Must be willing to travel to project locations as needed
- TWIC, NCCER, OSHA, Rigging, Signal Person, First Aid/CPR, or other construction certifications are a plus.
