Family Law Paralegal

Position Overview
The firm is actively seeking a Family Law Paralegal to support attorneys handling a variety of domestic relations cases. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and organized paralegal who is comfortable managing multiple cases and interacting directly with clients. The role is fully onsite, five days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide paralegal support for family law matters including divorce, custody, child support, alimony, and related proceedings
- Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery responses, financial statements, and correspondence
- File documents with Maryland courts and ensure compliance with applicable rules and deadlines
- Maintain organized case files, both electronic and physical
- Communicate with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel in a professional and empathetic manner
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, exhibits, and hearings
- Track deadlines, court dates, and appointments to support case progression
Qualifications
- 2 years of family law paralegal experience
- Familiarity with Maryland family law procedures preferred
- Strong drafting, organizational, and proofreading skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize deadlines effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software
- Paralegal certificate or relevant legal education preferred
