The Personal Injury Paralegal will work closely with attorneys to support plaintiff-side personal injury matters from intake through resolution. The firm is looking for a detail-oriented, highly organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and values client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage personal injury case files from intake through settlement or trial
- Conduct client intakes and maintain regular client communication
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, demand packages, and settlement documents
- Request, review, and summarize medical records, police reports, and other case materials
- Coordinate with courts, insurance carriers, medical providers, and experts
- Track deadlines and maintain litigation calendars to ensure compliance with NY court rules
- Assist with trial preparation, including exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders
- Maintain organized and up-to-date case files using legal case management systems
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of paralegal experience, ideally in personal injury or civil litigation
- Strong knowledge of New York personal injury procedures
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
- Paralegal certificate or relevant degree preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $70,000–$85,000, based on experience
