Quality Manager and Compliance Technician

This position is a senior role in our companywide quality & compliance department. We are looking for a meticulous quality manager & compliance technician to ensure the quality and precision of our machined components as well as compliance of work standards. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in operating CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) equipment, specifically Zeiss, and possess a keen eye for detail. This person will develop and implement our ISO, AS9100 and NAP 401 certification process. This person will support the facility in Lee’s Summit, MO and Troy, IL.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the team with all compliance activities related to ISO 9001, AS9100, NAP 401 & ITAR.
• Perform precise measurements and inspections using CMM Zeiss equipment to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
• Develop and execute inspection plans and procedures to verify the dimensional accuracy of machined parts.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve any quality issues or non-conformities.
• Assist in the development of quality control processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of CMM equipment to ensure accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance, with a focus on CMM Zeiss equipment.
• Proficiency in operating and programming CMM Zeiss machines.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to precision.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of ISO and AS9100 quality standards.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Relevant technical certification or degree in engineering or related field preferred.
