Job description
SR Construction Group LLC is a residential general contractor building custom homes across Miami-Dade County.
We are hiring experienced CMU block masons to join our crew on new construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Lay concrete masonry units (CMU block) per construction drawings and specifications
- Mix mortar and grout; fill cells as required
- Keep walls plumb, level, and aligned; verify layout before starting
- Install horizontal joint reinforcement and vertical rebar as specified
- Form and leave openings for doors, windows, and embeds
- Cut block to fit; maintain a clean and safe work area
- Coordinate daily with the project superintendent
Requirements
- 3 years of experience laying CMU block
- Ability to read construction drawings
- Own basic masonry hand tools
- Reliable transportation to job sites in Miami-Dade
- Able to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in heat
- Authorized to work in the United States
