Job Summary
Provide retail service to customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service oriented manner.
- Inform boaters about services and events, tying up boats, fueling boats, pumping water from boats, monitoring parking, and operating a radio.
- Comply at all times with resort standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations.
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
- Responsible for re-stocking and maintenance of store inventory. Keep displays neat and organized.
- Sweep/mop floors as necessary, keep countertops, window areas and display areas wiped clean and clear of debris, ensure presentable and customer-friendly store atmosphere.
- Provides information within scope of knowledge and position.
- Operates a motor vehicle to assist in carrying out the business of the department and the Resort.
- Promotes and encourages participation in the amenities available.
- Other duties may be assigned as business demands.
Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- A valid driver’s license
- Interpersonal skills
Additional Eligibility Requirements/Work Environment
- Position requires full flexibility in scheduling to work AM/PM, weekends & holidays, to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks.
- Long hours are sometimes required.
- Candidates in this role will be able to read, write, speak and understand English and meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction.
- Must possess good communication skills, oral and written
- Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be physically able to lift, reach, bend and stoop
