Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding components according to specifications, ensuring high-quality standards are met. This role requires proficiency in various welding techniques and the ability to read blueprints effectively. The Fabricator/Welder will work with a variety of materials and must adhere to safety regulations while operating machinery.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the appropriate welding processes and materials required.
- Operate welding equipment, including FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), to assemble and fabricate metal structures.
- Perform machining tasks as needed to ensure proper fit and finish of fabricated parts.
- Assemble components using various fastening techniques while adhering to industry codes and standards.
- Operate cranes and forklifts safely for material handling and movement within the workspace.
- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Fabricator/Welder or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with welding codes and standards relevant to the industry.
- Experience with plasma cutting, machining, micrometers, and other fabrication tools is preferred.
- Ability to operate cranes and forklifts safely; certification is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to adhere strictly to safety guidelines at all times.
