Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning of offices, restrooms, common areas, and other designated spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
- Handle custodial tasks such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, and floor care including scrubbing and polishing to maintain pristine surfaces.
- Operate commercial cleaning equipment like floor scrubbers safely and effectively to ensure optimal results.
- Follow strict safety protocols when handling chemical agents and performing manual handling tasks to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure sanitation standards are met and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly
- Adhere to all safety procedures related to chemical handling, heavy lifting, and equipment operation to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning practices.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and related tools.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely following established safety procedures and protocols.
- Physical capability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to ensure thorough cleaning standards are maintained.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning is preferred but not required.
