Job Summary:

Square One Concepts is seeking a proven, highly experienced restaurant operator to help lead the operations of our flagship brand, Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers.

We are looking for a restaurant veteran with significant multi-unit experience who understands what it takes to operate high-volume restaurants, develop strong leadership teams, drive financial performance, and maintain consistent execution across a growing organization.

This is a hands-on, field-focused leadership position for an operator who leads from the front, holds teams accountable, and knows how to translate strategy into consistent execution at the restaurant level.

The Director of Operations will provide overall operational leadership across the CBCB portfolio, partnering closely with Executive Leadership, Regional Managers, General Managers, Culinary, Marketing, and Finance to drive performance and continued development of the brand.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight across all CBCB locations, ensuring consistent execution of food quality, service, cleanliness, hospitality, and safety standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop Regional Managers, General Managers, and restaurant leadership teams.
• Establish clear expectations and accountability while maintaining a strong culture of hospitality and teamwork.
• Spend significant time in the field, identifying opportunities, solving operational challenges, and ensuring standards are consistently executed.
• Drive sales, profitability, labor efficiency, food cost, guest satisfaction, and overall restaurant performance.
• Own and analyze key operational KPIs and develop actionable plans to improve results.
• Maintain full P&L accountability, including budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and financial performance.
• Identify operational opportunities and implement systems, processes, and training programs that improve consistency and scalability.
• Partner with Executive Leadership on new restaurant openings, remodels, growth initiatives, and continued development of the CBCB brand.
• Build a strong leadership bench through coaching, succession planning, and talent development.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and all applicable regulatory requirements.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a seasoned restaurant operator, not simply a corporate administrator. They have spent years in the field leading restaurants and understand the realities of running high-volume, multi-unit operations.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has 10 years of progressive restaurant operations experience, including significant multi-unit leadership.
• Has a proven track record leading multiple restaurants and developing strong management teams.
• Comes from a high-volume casual dining, sports bar, polished casual, or similar restaurant environment.
• Has experience operating restaurants with substantial sales volume and complex operational demands.
• Has demonstrated success improving sales, profitability, labor, food cost, guest satisfaction, and retention.
• Has strong financial acumen and meaningful full P&L ownership experience.
• Is an exceptional leader who can recruit, coach, develop, and hold leaders accountable.
• Is equally comfortable working strategically with executive leadership and tactically in a restaurant.
• Understands that successful multi-unit leadership requires a strong presence in the field and regular interaction with restaurant teams.
• Brings urgency, accountability, sound judgment, and a genuine passion for hospitality.
• Has experience supporting restaurant growth, openings, remodels, and organizational development.
• Is willing to travel regularly throughout the region.

Leadership Expectations

This role is critical to the continued success and development of Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers. The Director of Operations will be expected to establish a high standard of operational discipline, leadership accountability, guest-first hospitality, and consistent execution across the brand.

The successful candidate will be a trusted partner to Executive Leadership and a visible leader within the field, someone who can identify problems, develop solutions, build strong teams, and ensure that initiatives are followed through to completion.

Salary : $130,000 - $165,000
