What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marina / Dock Staff position at Square Grouper?
Busy local bar and marina looking for an experienced marina/dock fuel attendant to add to our team. The right candidate will have a positive attitude, enjoy working at a small business with a family-like atmosphere and work well with others. This position is an autonomous position at the dock - candidate must have good computer skills, previous experience with Scribble Software for marina slips and fueling is a plus, but not required for the right candidate. Must understand and follow all safety and cleaning procedures for dock and fuel, handle tenant needs including assisiting with fueling and slip rentals, must have the ability to occasionally handle unruly patrons arriving by boat, check IDs, adhere to and implement all rules and policies around the dock with a cool head and appropriate action. Candidate must be available to work weekdays and weekends. Company pays biweekly through direct deposit. Position is fill-time, hours are 7am - 6pm. Typical schedule runs 4on/3off; 3on/4off, this is not a seasonal position.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Speak, read and write fluent English
Excellent cash handling skills
Proficient computer skills - Scribble Software/Marina Office a plus
Ability to safely run fuel dock, including fueling, retail sales for coffee, drinks and fuel, process and book slip rentals, etc using Scribble POS and Marina Office software
Use HotSchedules software for scheduling
Have computer/internet access for company e-mails
Live locally - as in Jupiter/Tequesta/PBG
Must be able to stand for long hours and lift 50lbs
Job Duties include but not limited to:
Manage all safety and cleanliness concerns in and around marina/dock
Open and close marina retail kiosk and fuel pumps; hours are 7am - 6pm
Sell and pump fuel, sell ice, drinks and coffee, book slip reservations, receive payments for slip rentals
ID check all patrons entering property by boat
Manage ice supply and other minor inventory for the dock
Manage/remove patrons on dock as needed
Previous Responsible Vendors training is a plus
