We are seeking a Staff Pharmacist to join a growing long-term care pharmacy serving residential care communities in the Chicago area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a mission-driven team focused on improving medication management and care for seniors.
This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate review, verification, and dispensing of medications, while collaborating with nursing staff and healthcare providers to support safe and efficient pharmacy operations.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and verify prescription orders
- Perform prospective drug utilization reviews
- Conduct final checks on dispensed prescriptions
- Communicate with nursing and medical staff regarding medication orders
- Maintain high standards for accuracy, productivity, and quality
- Support pharmacy operations and participate in team initiatives
Requirements
- Active Illinois Pharmacist License (required)
- Long-term care pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
