Experienced Concrete Laborer and Finisher

SQP Construction Group is currently seeking experienced Cement Masons and Concrete Finishers for a large number of commercial construction projects. These are full-time positions for permanent employment with competitive pay and benefits. Job Responsibilities:

• Understand and interpret blueprints and building plans for projects
• Responsible for placing and finishing concrete sidewalks, slab on grade and slab on decks using a variety of hand and power tools.
• Set and align the forms that hold the concrete to the desired pitch and depth
• Install reinforcing rebar and mesh wire
• Spread, level, and smooth concrete using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed and float
• Mold expansion joints and edges using proper tools
• Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surface of the concrete
• Monitor how the wind, heat, or cold affects the curing of the concrete throughout the entire process to ensure a durable, smooth and uniform finish
• Adhere to all city, state and federal regulatory codes

Job Requirements:

• 5 years Commercial Construction experience as a cement mason or concrete finisher
• Ability to operate some smaller heavy equipment preferred
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, climb, bend stoop, balance, crouch and sit for extended amounts of time

Pay: $18.00 - $32.00 per hour
