What are the responsibilities and job description for the Flooring Sales Associate position at SQFT Studio?
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Flooring Sales member to join our team! This position will be specializing is meeting builders and assisting them with their flooring needs. You must be someone who enjoys the grind of selling to outperform the customers expectations. This position is salary plus commission with additional quarterly and yearly bonuses. You will specialize in building lasting relationships to all residential general contractors, remodelers, and home builders.
Your Responsibilities:
- Consulting with Clients: Meet with prospective customers by cold calling, emails, TikTok, Facebook, Linkedin, and in person. Its using all options to get yourself in front of residential contractors and builders. You will provide material recommendations that will meet their design, budget, and schedule. You will schedule and meet with clients and their customers in our showroom to make their selections.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of our product range, including tile, carpet, luxury vinyl plank (LVP), wood and quartz countertops to offer customers the best solutions. If a product is not available in our showroom you will work with manufactures both local and national to find a solution for the customer.
- Sales Support: Work with clients to determine quantity needed. This may include using software to measure blueprints to assist in quantities. Provide timely and accurate quotes, purchase orders, and invoices for materials. Track status of materials for timely delivery to customer.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and actively seek new opportunities. Maintain and update CRM daily
- Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with manufactures, distributors, office personnel, to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Marketing: Keep engaged with customers about events, discounts, and new products. This will include using Canva for building flyers, marketing emails & text messages, or any other means of marketing to keep your customers engaged with you.
Qualifications:
- Sales Experience: Previous experience in sales in flooring or home improvement, is required. Including any sales achievements
- Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage customer relationships effectively. The person everyone wants to talk to.
- Knowledge of Flooring Products: Familiarity with different types of flooring options (tile, carpet, LVP, wood) & quartz countertops
- Detail-Oriented: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple builders with multiple project needs and customer orders simultaneously.
- Team Player: Self-motivated with limited direction to achieve personal sales goals and work well with others at times.
