We’re hiring for a Quality Inspector Level 2 position in Brownsville, TX. This is an opportunity in which you will be supporting the first shift on a one month contract at full time hours. Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed inspections—visual, dimensional, and physical—on components, assemblies, and raw materials throughout various production phases (including in-process, final, and first article) to verify compliance with engineering drawings and specifications
- Operate and utilize precision measuring instruments such borescopes to do inspections on tubes.
- Apply sharp visual inspection skills to identify workmanship issues and product defects, including damage such as burrs, scratches, loose fasteners, dings, and inadequate edge distances
- Identify and categorize nonconformities and confirm that corrective actions or rework have been properly executed
- Receiving shipping documentation for accuracy, confirming part numbers, serial numbers, change notices, and destination data are correct
- 3 years of hands-on quality inspection experience
- Strong ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and industry/commodity standards
- Hands on experience with borescopes
- Proficient in GD&T and validating dimensions preferred
- Ability to adapt to new technology and software
- Excellent visual acuity to detect defects in complex products
- Must be willing to undergo a background check
- Must be ITAR compliant
