We are currently seeking a Quality Mechanical Inspector for an immediate opening in Miami, FL. This is a 6-month contract position with the potential for extension. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, working second shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Full-Time. Overtime is available as needed

Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed mechanical inspections on parts, components, and assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards
- Inspect components for defects such as damage, corrosion, burrs, dents, and other nonconformities
- Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges) to verify dimensions and tolerances
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications, including GD&T, to ensure part accuracy and conformance
- Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections in accordance with company and customer requirements
- Complete and maintain accurate inspection reports and documentation in a timely manner
- Review and verify quality documentation to ensure completeness and compliance with purchase order (PO) requirements
- Documentation may include data sheets called out on the PO, material certifications, Certificates of Conformance (COCs), First Article Inspection Reports (FAIs), and related quality records
- Training will be provided to support understanding and execution of documentation review processes
- Previous mechanical inspection experience
- Knowledge of GD&T and inspection methodologies
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow inspection plans and protocols
- Experience with the use of precision measurement tools and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and/or engineering drawings
- Ability to work effectively within a quality management system
- Must be ITAR Compliant
- Must be willing to undergo a background check
- Certified or previously certified in GD&T ASME Y-14.5
- Experience with AS9102 (FAI)
- Experience with SAP or ERP system
- Experience with Certification of Conformance
- Diploma or GED from an accredited high school or technical school; college degree in engineering
- Knowledge of mechanical contract manufacturing and LEAN manufacturing
- 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, with 2 years as a Mechanical Inspector
