Position Summary
We’re seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist who will play a key role in managing and
optimizing our day-to-day financial operations. You’ll be responsible for ensuring accurate and
timely processing of outgoing payments, maintaining financial records, and supporting our
internal finance processes as we scale.
What You’ll Do
- Manage accounts payable (AP) functions and payment reconciliation.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of vendor payments.
- Reconcile account differences between company financials and AP software.
- Communicate with vendors to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Reconcile bank statements and company credit card transactions.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned.
- Assist in improving internal workflows for AP efficiency and accuracy.
- Coordinate and schedule accounts payable processing.
- Collaborate closely with our finance and operations team to support audits and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and company procedures.
What We’re Looking For
- 2–4 years of experience in accounts payable. Preferably in a startup or manufacturing environment dealing with inventory.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- 1-2 year experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Bill.com, or similar).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office / Google Applications.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, trustworthy, and proactive in solving problems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Quickly learns new technology and suggests process improvements.
