Job Summary
Spyhouse Coffee Roasters | Downtown / Emery is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Barista to support daily coffee shop operations and create a welcoming experience for guests. This role involves preparing quality coffee and beverages, taking customer orders, maintaining a clean service area, and working collaboratively with the café team.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso beverages, teas, and other café drinks.
- Follow established recipes and preparation procedures to maintain consistency.
- Operate the point-of-sale system and process customer payments accurately.
- Prepare ingredients, equipment, and service stations for daily operations.
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked coffee bar and customer areas.
- Restock coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, lids, napkins, and other supplies.
- Answer customer questions and provide helpful information about beverages and menu items.
- Ensure beverages are prepared promptly and presented appropriately.
- Communicate special orders and customer requests clearly with team members.
- Follow food handling, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace safety procedures.
- Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general café duties.
- Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining accuracy and service quality.
- Support coworkers with daily coffee shop operations and assigned tasks.
- Follow company policies and customer service standards.
Qualifications
- Previous barista, coffee shop, café, restaurant, food service, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
