Spyglass Talent Solutions, a retained recruitment firm based in Raleigh, NC, has been engaged by a Triangle-based specialty subcontractor to conduct a search for a Division President.
Reporting to the COO, the Division President will lead all operations, financial performance, and strategic growth initiatives for the company’s commercial concrete division. This is a pivotal executive leadership role responsible for driving profitability, fostering operational excellence, developing high-performing teams, and strengthening the company’s position as a premier contractor in the region.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Growth
- Develop and execute short- and long-term strategies aligned with corporate objectives and market opportunities.
- Identify and pursue growth initiatives, including new client partnerships, geographic expansion, and service diversification.
- Collaborate with ownership and executive leadership to set annual budgets, goals, and KPIs for the division.
- Evaluate market trends and competitive positioning to inform strategic business decisions.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee all concrete construction operations, including estimating, project management, field execution, and safety.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Drive accountability across teams for cost control, scheduling accuracy, and production efficiency.
- Champion the implementation of best practices in workflow, technology, and project delivery.
Financial Management
- Manage division-level P&L, ensuring sustainable profitability and margin growth.
- Monitor job costing, backlog, and revenue forecasting in coordination with accounting and operations teams.
- Oversee bidding and estimating processes to maintain competitiveness and risk management.
- Collaborate with finance leadership to ensure accurate reporting and financial transparency.
Team Development & Leadership
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, including project managers, superintendents, estimators, and administrative staff.
- Build a culture centered on accountability, collaboration, and professional development.
- Recruit, retain, and develop top industry talent to support the division’s continued success.
- Foster alignment and communication between field, office, and executive teams.
Client, Partner & Community Relations
- Serve as the primary executive liaison for major clients, general contractors, and strategic partners.
- Strengthen the company’s reputation for integrity, performance, and customer service in the marketplace.
- Represent the company at industry associations, community events, and business development functions.
Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Uphold a zero-tolerance safety culture across all job sites and operations.
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA, NCDOT, and industry quality standards.
- Lead ongoing initiatives to improve safety performance and operational training.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in construction or a related field.
- 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in commercial concrete or heavy civil construction.
- Demonstrated success in P&L management and strategic business growth.
- Strong operational background with deep knowledge of concrete construction methods and project delivery.
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams and drive organizational performance.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- OSHA 30 certification required; additional safety training desired.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $115,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
